General Questions

What is the Christ The Teacher Catholic School Raffle?
This is a licensed raffle organized by St. Michael's at Madge to raise funds for Christ The Teacher Catholic School. Participants purchase $20 tickets for a chance to win over $600,000 in prizes, with all proceeds supporting educational programs and facilities.
Is this raffle legal and licensed?
Yes! This raffle is officially licensed by the Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority under Licence #RR25-0233 (KAMS-0077) and operates in full compliance with Section 207 of the Criminal Code of Canada.
Who can participate?
Anyone 18 years of age or older who is a resident of Saskatchewan or Canada can purchase tickets and participate in the raffle.

Tickets & Purchase

How much do tickets cost?
Each raffle ticket costs $20 CAD. You can purchase as many tickets as you'd like to increase your chances of winning.
How can I buy tickets?
Tickets can be purchased online through our secure website, in person at Christ The Teacher Catholic School (45 A Palliser Way, Yorkton, SK), or by phone at (123) 456-7890. We accept cash, check, credit card, debit card, and e-transfer.
How many tickets are available?
A maximum of 3,500 tickets will be sold. Once all tickets are sold, no additional tickets will be available.
When do ticket sales end?
Ticket sales begin on September 22, 2025 and end on December 27, 2025 at 11:59 PM CST, or when all 3,500 tickets are sold (whichever comes first).
Can I get a refund on my ticket?
No, all ticket sales are final. Tickets cannot be refunded, exchanged, or transferred once purchased.

The Draw & Prizes

When is the draw?
The official draw will take place on Sunday, December 28, 2025 at 4:00 PM CST at Christ The Teacher Catholic School in Yorkton, Saskatchewan.
Do I need to be present to win?
No, you do not need to be present at the draw to win. All winners will be contacted directly by phone and email within 48 hours of the draw.
What prizes can I win?
The total prize pool is $600,646 including: Grand Prize ($500,000 cash or vehicle), 2nd Prize ($50,000), 3rd Prize ($25,000), 4th Prize ($10,000), 5th Prize ($5,000), and five additional prizes of $2,129 each. Many prizes offer cash or item options.
Can I choose cash instead of the prize item?
Yes! Most prizes offer a cash option. Winners can choose between the cash value or the prize item. You'll have 7 days after being notified to make your selection.
Are there taxes on the prizes?
Winners are responsible for all applicable federal, provincial, and local taxes on their prizes. We recommend consulting with a tax professional regarding your specific situation.

Winners & Claims

How will I know if I won?
Winners will be contacted directly by phone and email within 48 hours of the draw using the contact information provided at the time of ticket purchase. Winners will also be announced on our website and social media channels.
How long do I have to claim my prize?
Winners must claim their prize within 30 days of the draw date. Unclaimed prizes will be forfeited and may be awarded to an alternate winner or donated to the school.
What do I need to claim my prize?
Winners must provide valid government-issued photo ID, sign a winner declaration form, and complete any required tax documentation. Winners may also be required to participate in publicity activities.

About the School

Where do the proceeds go?
All net proceeds from the raffle support Christ The Teacher Catholic School's educational programs, facility improvements, technology upgrades, student scholarships, and extracurricular activities.
How much of my ticket purchase goes to the school?
After prize payouts and administrative costs, approximately 15-20% of ticket sales directly benefit the school. With maximum ticket sales, this could provide over $10,000 in funding for educational programs.
